Nothing like ripping a friend of mine in the first one there Mr. Stout.
@JoshB: Chuck has done some tutorials for Computer Arts that show you how to do that, as well as several tutorials on this site teach you the same methods, it’s all in the application and colouring.
Jeffrey M Stout August 1st
@Geoff, I did indeed credit Chuck Anderson. In fact the name of the tutorial was: Inspired by Chuck Anderson. His piece, Godlike, was always one that I admired so I went about figuring out how to produce something similar. Not trying to steal work or anything. I hope Sean is interested in publishing this tut, too.

Why the hell did third place get third place? Anyone who thinks vector is good should quit photoshop and start painting already. There’s even a freaking vector tutorial within the past week on this site, and it’s better than that too!
MD August 1st
Awesome! Great work
Braden Keith August 1st
Oh boy those are gonna be cool!

Sorry, but you’re mistaken there. There’s no such thing as better technique. What matters is the final result.
And I think this image is amazing. I think it deserved first place.

This is a such fantastic pleasure to me of winning this contest.
The first time I earn so much of money I think, hehe.
Mark Abucayon August 1st
wow CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners, all are nice…

@ Jeff Stout - Good on ya for crediting C. Anderson’s work… just a little close of a match that’s all. Using subject matter other than a parking lot would have made it more your own.
@ ViniMan - Congrats, but tooting your own horn is quite pompous.
Noor August 1st
